Welcome T-Course Students!

Welcome Everyone!

If you have found this blog, then you've successfully logged onto the Claremont Conversation. If you haven't already, set up a personal account for yourself, add me as your friend, and then find the community for our class, TNDY 401 M / ENG 374: Death and Dying.

This is where you will be able to post class protocols, discussions, thoughts, queries, and desperate pleas for class notes when you are sick and miss class. :-)

The photo I've selected for the group is a shot I took from a rural roadside cemetery in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. I've always loved cemeteries...there is something calming and fascinating about them.  I've been to Jim Morrison's grave in Pere Lachaise,  Paris; W.B. Yeats' grave in Sligo, Ireland; a civil war cemetery in Virginia, and many odds and ends in between. The Irish graveyards with Celtic crosses and crumbling ruins are my favorite.

I still want to see Poet's Corner in England and of course, Forest Lawn, which we will be field-tripping to later this semester as part of the course!

I'm looking forward to meeting you all this semester. If any of you are first years to Claremont, let me extend a hearty welcome to you. If you have any questions about what it is like to live in Claremmont, attend CGU, or  just want to say hi, I'm always happy to chat.

See you soon!
