This class is very facilitating in helping students get ready for writing their own research paper. We discussed many quality research papers throughout the semester in depth. Various approaches and research methodologies used in modern research are also discussed. We were required to present a project in the form of a real research paper for this course. In this project we were required to identify and describe IS&T research questions and formulate a research strtegy for exploring these questions.

In this course we also discussed key journals and conferences in the IS&T field. By reading several related materials we gained knowledge about theory construction, history of the philosophy of science regarding their impact on the research. We discussed the process of writing a doctoral dissertation so that we could know the whole process when we need to write a dissertation of our own in the future.
