I'm a 5th year PhD student in the Information Systems and Technology school at Claremont Graduate University. I work full-time at Woodbury University as an Institutional Researcher.
In between work and school, I spend time with my lovely wife Corrie, and entertain our two cats, Amy and Peter.
My research at CGU centers on educational technology. In particular, I'm currently interested in combating the modern trend of using ePortfolios as institutional assessment systems. I believe that ePortfolios should be student-controlled, community-based, and useful in everyday life.
Along with my SL2 lab at CGU, I'm putting together an add-in for Elgg that adds wiki capabilities. Please see my blog for more information.
