Class of 11/12/09

HOMEWORK

  1. Complete all in-class tasks as defined in the "INSTRUCTIONS" section of Studio Session 9. Reread the instructions carefully. In addition, make a gallery.
  2. Write a CCO community blog in which you discuss the advantages and disadvantages for students of using KEEP SLS. Should/could the features of KEEP SLS be integrated with other social technologies such as the CCO (Elgg), Wuala and SemanticScuttle? Explain.
  3. Use KEEP SLS to create a discussion of ideas in Chapter 9 of "Wikinomics". Create a snapshot summarizing and commenting on one of the main parts of the chapter (see below for "part" allocations) and do so by Monday midnight. Responsibility for summarizing/commenting on chapter parts is as follows: Geeks, Wikis, and Global Domination (Bill), Rise of the Wiki Workplace and Best Buy's Bottom-Up Innovation (James), Social Computing in the Enterprise (Sahar), Peer Production in the Workplace (Yernur), and Waking up to the Wiki Workplace and A Demographic Kick for Change (Arthur).
  4. Contribute to each of your fellow students' discussions by Wednesday midnight by using the "Blog This" feature in KEEP SLS. Authors will get bonus points for responding to discussion comments, and commenters will get bonus points for continuing the discussion!
  5. Work on your final project.
