What they didn’t teach you in graduate school

This book provides 199 helpful hints for success in our academic career by authors’ experiences. It includes almost relative works for doctoral student such as the PhD, job hunting, teaching and service, research, writing, publishing, etc.  I concentrated on the PhD to identify what the PhD is. When I read the list of things to do besides work on dissertation I could predict how hard the doctoral course is and this is a big deal. We need to follow this guide keeping with 199 helpful hints for successful academic career.

  1. Is the tenure system in Korea similiar to that in the US?

  2. I think tenure system in Korea is similar to USA, but tenure system in USA is more rigorous.

    These days this system in Korea is getting harder than before. I think big difference is that to be a professor

    in Korea, it is really hard.

  4. Doing the Ph.D. in US give me more experience than in Thailand. Not only learn from professor, but I also learn from other colleague. It's good to share experience in class because sometimes it is never written in any book.
