Introduction

·        Electronic Government (EG) has been deliberated as the mean for government to provide better service delivery to the citizen. 

·        For government to succeed in utilizing online services to provide better service delivery, it is essential to know what would motivate the citizen to have the trust and confidence to use the online services.

·        Taking on the notion of physical design and its effect and to identify whether the same notion of design can be applied to induce trust and confidence for online services and also to see whether this notion of design will make a difference.

Learning Objective

Our learning objective is to understand how conceptual analysis can be used to access good design of e-governmental systems.

To accomplish the learning objective, the methods that will be used are

·        Features of good design from  the online services / applications

·        Evidences of citizen acceptance of online services based on good design

Evaluation and Extension

·        The acceptance of online services based on good design which induced trust and confidence

·        To do actual survey to confirm the conceptual notion that good design will motivate the trust and confidence to utilize government online services
